How exercise changed me to a better man in 47 minutes.

Everything started on a off cycle today as a continuation of yesterday.

One of my websites, myabstrainer.com developed a bug and I had to take it down. In the middle I lost the Internet connection and computer crashed. At the same time as the warm weather arrived with a vengeance our air-conditioning stopped working. So, I missed my workout trying to deal with these.

The stress carried through the night. It showed up in bad dreams, tossing and turning followed by getting up with a slightly pinched nerve and leg cramps. Then the day got real exciting. My keyboard stopped working, followed by the word processer and my mouse. The air-conditioning was not still fixed.

Around 3 PM. I stopped the negative cycle. Since I work for myself, I asked me the permission to go to the gym. And I reluctantly gave me the go ahead. You know what I mean. How often you don’t give yourself the permission to be happy, to do the right thing.

My heart wasn’t in the workout, so I began with mental exercises to focus and began a slow and methodical process of warming up. Ten minutes later, I was more focused, perspiring and relaxed. So I moved it up a notch and went from there. Half an hour later all that mattered was the next rep and beyond that the next set.

It was a great workout as workouts usually are if done correctly. I left my personal gym with an entirely different outlook. My mind cleared, I could prioritize better and see solutions that I could not see before, all because of exercise and all the wonderful hormonal changes that it brings.

Many people never experience this simply because they don’t know how to exercise or they have not exercised consistently enough for their body to respond at their command. Let me tell you, it is fantastic.

I really hope that you can experience this.
